Join the LocalGovCivicEd Community

The LocalGovCivicEd Listserv is a private email community for practitioners who coordinate civic education programs in local government. Members share resources, troubleshoot challenges, and exchange ideas about program design and implementation. The content covers the broad enterprise as opposed to a single function, distinguishing them from function-specific programs like citizen police or fire academies.

  • Ask questions and get advice from experienced coordinators
  • Share program updates, successes, and lessons learned
  • Stay informed about national trends and emerging practices
  • Network with colleagues from jurisdictions across the U.S.
  • Use clear, professional language in all communications
